It's just you and me now Rob.

Let's do the steep stuff. See you at 10?

It's 8am here and the weather looks good enough for me.

You don't need no "easier ride" Kev. These guys will only take you to areas that your bike can handle.
They are both good guys.

I just wish I had an offroad ebike assembled at right now and a way to get it up there to join you blokes.

No wuckers boys, lots of easy stuff too.

Had to much fun to stop and record. Only managed to get one bit of video of some hub friendly terrain.

Anyone on here in Newcastle? I build electric cars for my young bloke and am interested in checking out some set ups with a Kelly controller. Is there a FB group also that's into this stuff?
Cheers
Scott

Here is a video of a build I did 24v dual scooter motors . Does 18.8kmh
There are a few other videos on my YouTube channel of the car and others in action.

As you know I am up for stuff near vegas.

Rob I am thinking to see how near I can get to this with my charge today if you are up or others let us know.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Creek_Dam

I'll ride out this morning and see if I can find it or reach the entry, doubt I have power for enough to do the circuit.

Will consider an afternoon ride later too.

EDIT

heres a map I like using http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/-2 ... 8&layers=C

shows you brookfield joining to gap track area

Yeah went to it, beautiful quiet area

just rode a bit of at the front of the water, not enough battery to do a lap.

I'd have to back pack a booster pack to get around it.

I thought I would announce this here for those who aren't already on the "Aussie Off-Road Ebikers" facebook page mentioned earlier.

We are having an off road race in a few weeks time.

The first race is about a 12 km in 30 minutes. It requires about 10 ah at about 3 kw. (you are free to run whatever this is just a guide)

The circuit starts near Bellbird grove on Mt. Nebo Road.

We hope this develops into a monthly series.

So far we are 5 racers. The more the better. Exact dates are via PM.

The whole course is clockwise, so only needing to remember to turn right when a choice arises. I have put a playlist together which maps out most of the ride. https://youtu.be/Z1sTWUaw70k?list=PLzqo ... _kVox6ag9A

Rough elevation guide:
Image
Map with englarged trail names of what you need to cover.
Image
The southern end showing the power lines
Image
start line
Image
more markations of powerlines for orientation
Image

Note there is one steeper bit (it can be avoided with a bit of bitumen at the end of the race for those a bit worried about their skills)

questions comments please.

mild off road meet up

Post by John Bozi » Aug 30, 2016 5:58 pm

Been a while haven't seen lots of the seq boys.

This Sunday a few of us a meeting at Underwood for an offroad cruise. The terrain is mild dirt, so no ridiculously steep hills to be scared of.

All are welcome. Some of us are bringing family to play in the parklands around there too.

I won't post details, pm if interested.

Hope to see you there. :D
