Sorry guys, uncount me in.

Fell of me skateboard at the Bulleen Bowl and broke my arm. First ever break, maybe 42 is actually too old to re-learn?

Anyway, in the Austin for a coupla days, then no left arm for 4-6 weeks.

Bugger - public transport to work for that time too - that's gunna be a killer...

Sorry to hear that Kabbage. I think you mozzed yourself by saying "I'll try and break it gently" in your earlier post. Perhaps you may still want to drop by for a bbq and say gday?

Sorry to hear that you can't be there Ed. Biochar is bloody interesting - perhaps we can ride by and make faces in the window :P

Hey folks, an idea - what would people think about inviting ebike vendors to these things in future? Some of them seem sympathetic to higher powered riders, I guess it would be a way to expand our crowd and take the lead in Vic. Just an idea but not sure in myself if its a good idea or not. Some people who come along do sell kits and parts etc, but I am thinking more about mainstream bikes stores that sell electrics.
Love to hear thoughts below either way.

Back to the main topic at hand - what time suits people on the 27th? I'm fine with anything. I think Kiqnkf had some constraints...

Don't try and keep up with Kepler, winkinatcha. It's usually full-throttle you have to find - he's usually up ahead on a vertical surface somewhere....

I am cool to bring an extra bike and do rest rides. Mainly because I have had a lot of locals want to have a go on one of my bikes, but I don't have a lot of free time to ba able to arrange it. So setting a time and place, and then let people have turns would be way better.

Would also be interested to see a bunch of vendors all showing off there wares at the same time. But to do it properly is a big job.

Anyway for this time, I may just bring a couple of bikes, so people can play. Next time if we can get a good venue, a day time slot, and sunshine I'll advertise it a bit more and let more people have a play with my little creations.

Normally its one big linear ride.

But I think this time it may be short trips outward from the bbq/beer homebase....

Yah that I what I was thinking, re base/beer/bbq... and options of tan track, UC carparks, or longer rides depending on spritedness of combatants.

Hey Chopper you can always borrow one of my spares, though probably only 500w :)

Wow Awesome!

Yah I sure would like it if wee could get vendor sponsorship or summink.

Actually, as I am planning on being a vendor eventually, I reckon I should sponsor this one anyways, so howzabout I provide the meat and a slab of beer?

the location of my home and workshop is just across the road from Caulfield station, can be a little complex to find but will get directions sorted in next couple of days, as well as photos of the public barbecue area, n maps of local tracks and stuff...

I will be at my place for the entire day/night on the 27th. If peeps want to come early, then that is cool, they can drop by my place and we can hang there til others turn up later... I should have at least three ebikes "rideable by others" with a good range of pwer and styles to keep people occupied (one front wheel road oriented build, three rear wheel MTB kit builds with up to 1kw power, even a commercial 200w granny bike :))

My only fear in using my place as a meetup is that I dont have a whale load of space, with the back "yard" filled with bikes at the moment.. some jiggery pokery and I could fit another 5 bikes there and partoof this week will be rearranging for more space, but if there is more than half a dozen turning up, and the weatheer turns to crap then my location is less than stellar... should be able to cover 6 people tho :)

Parking can be a bit difficult, though not insurmaountable, will provide more info on that as well.

I do have a webber style wood fired bbq on site so can always char meat and drink beer there.

No stress samd :)

As a minimum we can run my place as a backup option to the public areas.

Beer and meat I already have, so if ya don't wanna drink my beer :( then more for me! :) :)

looking forward to this :P

So whats the deal?
Im in bentleigh, just up the road.
Are you planning a long ride or just hooning round the local area/park. I tend to get about 1- 1.5 hours out of the batts.
I dont have a ebike just a etrike , so I hope you dont discriminate against us 3 wheelers :)
I would have to get lights for the trike!
Some one mentioned beers and bbq??.
Still not sure if i can make it but...... i ll see what happens, but would like to know more.

'Kay to the best of my knowledge, this is the plan...

Meet up at my gaff or local park

Do BBq n Beers, at local park

Hoon around on each others and own rides

Poss go to other places (such as UC car park or larger park for more varied terrain.)

===============

I have "Some" spare lights, possibly will have more by time of meet

I ahve power points so if you can bring chargers then batts can be recharged (do you run lipo or lead acid? if lead acid then I can always lend you some of my numerous "spares" if charge time is a bother)

I do have a couple of non-balancing fast Lipo chargers, one v fast charger (12 amp, 24v from Hyena) and one 30v 6amp from Ping.

I also have a trike so we can always act all superior with our carrying capacity to the two wheelsers (well I have a bunch of two wheelers as well, but that just means I can switch to whichever side of the 2 or 3 wheel needs support :P)
