This is possible, but not needed. There is a ridge on the case bottom and cover that makes it relatively leak resistant. If you run a bead of sealant in that ridge, it will hold oil.

Meant to ask you Matt what lube do you use/suggest for the #25 chains, I have been using straight graphite powder myself, no spraying of oil everywhere.

3220 motor and controller have arrived and are in good condition. Looks and feels so smooth. Time to start playing with those hall sensor.
