Summer ebike build

I am planning to build a ebike this summer. I was hope to use my existing road bike and add a dc brushed motor behind the seat and above the wheel. It will be a chain driven and not friction bike.

But the real question is i was planning on buying from electricmotorsports.com

Has anyone here had any problems with electricmotorsports? Or of the motor/controller?
Any good things to report, i searched around here and a few other websites but oddly there isnt any reviews.

Second, are there any smaller brushed dc motors out there since i wont really need 4kw but am finding a hard time finding some.

goals:
30mph with 140 lbs rider
better acceleration than when pedaling (but without the assistance)
reliable
cheap (ish)

This is lighter, puts out nearly equivalent power, and runs at a per volt RPM suitable to drive a bike wheel.

However if you want 30mph, this motor is EXTREME over kill. Any hub motor rated for 500w will handily do what you are looking for, at half the weight.

Also a road bike with a motor on it is going to be a mistake. You're going to need wider tires and disc brakes for one. Those frames are not designed for it. Those are made to be light weight and efficient. They fall short on eBike duty unless you are doing something that runs 20-25mph.

it's my first post on this site.
I have gone through so many posts , all very interesting and at a very high level of knowledge and technology .

I hooked on this post because I am thinking to make a dirt bike as well .
the motor looks good to me .
the objective for me is to achieve a "similar " response of climbing on a single track as an enduro bike !
possible ?
i think that with a 7-10Kw motor , and a bike that is aprox 50 kg I should be able .

any comment is much appreciated .

That is a brushless motor, meaning the controller is going to cost $500 plus $900 programmer. I would prefer to use brushed if the only down fall is abit more weight.

30 mph is a goal but acceleration is the main thing i want since i personally do not need to travel over 30mph. I was hoping to reach 30mph in about 4-5 seconds? is that reasonable? I should at least be able to get the front tire off the ground with a "jack rabbit" start. Im not sure about hub motors due to possibly not powerful enough, and fitting issues and not able to use it for other possible future projects as easy ie go kart or something

i have the largest disc brakes, i meant its a mountain bike but i use it for the roads (ie slick tires).

There are no 2000 watt brushed motors out there?
or even reviews of the emc motor?
