Lightning Rod's kit - Cryptic's build

So after discussions with helpful forum members, I've opted for LR's kit (Mike has patiently answered my stream of questions - great guy).

Order placed today - I'll document the build along the way on this thread.

Kit arrived today - yay.

Started assembly of major components, which is going well. Very impressed with the build quality - seems very solid indeed.

First of probably many questions - there's a rectangular plastic block in the kit - it has a round bottomed grove about 7mm deep cut in one long side. Can any shed any light on what it's for \ where it goes?

It goes between the two adjustment screws and the motor housing (if it's what I think it is).

The rounded cut fits around the motor housing and the two screws grip into the two indents on the opposite side.
