Need your guys opinion. Have 48V11AH lithium ion battery and wondering what mid drive kit would be more suitable for mostly trail riding high torque and longer range on battery.

Can these kits also be switched out to a 29"wheel bike?

Can they also operate on throttle only?

Thanks !!

They are basically the same motor, although the 750 has a 25 amp limit instead of 18. You will need to program the controller to get throttle only or pull a specific wire from the controller.

These units are identical - same motor, same controller. The only difference is that they are programmed with different current limits. So, for the same voltage and current up to 18 A, they will perform exactly the same. The 500 W unit will top out there, whereas the 750 W unit will allow you to draw up to 25 A, giving you more torque and/or speed depending on your load.

Do you know the current rating of your battery? For short bursts, it shouldn't be an issue, but sustaining 25 A for very long could be problematic depending on your battery type. 18 A sustained should be fine.

Thanks, battery is a 48v11a lithium ion battery the new style that has a ABS shell with samsung cells. Do the mid drives get better range then a geared hub? I know breaking chains is an issue what would you recommend for a chain?
