I have read most the threads here documenting various attempts to achieve this:

so I am well aware of the difficulties...
Main problem (as far as I see it) is caused by the need squeeze the whole thing into the typical 1.37"-24tpi bottom brackets.
So here is my question to you knowledgable/experienced types:
If I were to use threaded cups to convert BSA bottom bracket to 30mm standard, using (for example):
http://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/threaded-bb/bsa-threaded-bottom-brackets/threaded-to-30mm-abec-3-bb-black.html
I would have all the luxury of 30mm instead of miserly space available in the BSA bottom bracket.
What am I missing?
