Hello,

I'm looking for a light (<400g), small (<45mm diameter) and high quality (with good bearings) brushless RC motor, with power (continuous) around 500-600W, and rpm/V under 500, in order to use it with a VESC.
And I would like to be able to use it in an sealed casing (water/dust proof) without overheating issues.
Do you have some brands or models to advise ?
I was thinking about Scorpions, KDE.

Thanks !

I am patiently waiting ( trying to be patient ) for a few people here in the U.S. to develop newer RC drive systems for bicycles.
With the research I have done on motors , People in the RC Hobby industry seem to talk highly of the KDE Direct motors, they say that it is one of the best motors on the market. ( KDE is located in the State of Oregon I think )
I read that they will custom wind a motor for you , resulting in a lower KV motor that what the RC Flyers use. So it would be much better for a Bicycle.

Which KDE motor are you looking at ?

Which kind of bike are you looking to convert to electric using a RC motor

1) Road Bike ?

2) Full Suspension Mountain Bike ?

3 ) Hard Tail Mountain Bike ?

Hi ScooterMan
It will be more for a MTB.
Thanks for your advice about KDE.
