Does anyone know if the BBS02B 48v controller will fit the BBS01 250w 36v motor ? I've seen on a thread that the older BBs02A 48v version fits and works on BBS01A 36v.

I want to upgrade to 48v to get better cadence as I spin out my BBS01 36v version. I like high cadence.

Thanks

Don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I had a BBS01 350W/36V motor years ago and now have two BBS02-B 750W/48V motors. I believe the shape of the controller changed with the "B" models.

Somewhat along the same lines, I'd like to know if a 36V type "B" controller installed on a BBS02-B 750W/48V motor would work as a 36V motor? Anyone???

Hi
I’ve replaced the 36V controller of my BBS01B by a 48V controller for the same reason (pedaling rpm). It works well, I’m using a 14S battery.

I'm betting that it will work the other way around too if both are BBS##-B motors. Put a 36V BBS##-B controller on a 48V BBS##-B motor and run a 36V battery (and change the volt setting in the display).

The reason I asked is I now have two batteries, one 48V for both of my Bafang rides and one 36V for one MY1018 ride. If I buy a 36V controller for one of my 48V Bafangs and use the 36V battery, then I can take both Bafangs out with a friend if I want to.

If anyone has successfully tried this please chime in. Or if you don't think it will work, please let me know. Hate to spend for a 36V "B" controller and find out it doesn't work after the fact. Thanks.
