I find I am really liking this frame http://www.x-tremescooters.com/electric_bicycles/xb350/images/xb-350-blue-side250.jpg and am having visions of getting one and removing the basket for a "cabinet" of some sort and mounting more batteries

For lack of drawing skills I just cut and pasted the back bubble to illustrate the idea of a front mounted cabinet. A vanilla basket just neuters sex appeal. Instead of opening like the back trunk the front one should be more a double door variety opening in the front or on top.

For more batteries a 2nd pack of 36 V, I'd like to see a saddle bag like configuration stradling the front. Rough idea given with the blue blocks with red outline.

I really like this step through design.

I DO NOT like the location of the controller beneath the battery pack though. Seems like that is prime territory for gettting soaked by water.

Wow, that thing is equipped to carry a passenger!
looks like it could use a mudflap on the front fender.

I don't like the bike-scooter-hybrid-ish look,
different stokes for different folks.

I found a supplier of a very similar frame. I am talking to them now on costs capabilities etc...
Anyone know what they mean by this?

What is the over voltage protection value for the 48Volt version?
Owe and press the protecting value: 42±1V
Cross and flow the protecting value: 18±1A

42v = Fully charged 36v SLA pack...

Actually it's the undervoltage rating they answered the wrong question.

Came across this while surfing around. It looks like a geared motor not a hub.
