I think I am just going to put the cash towards a lyen 12 FET controller since I know them and have the program cable.
Although I may invest in one of your boards in the future.
I stripped the bike down today and am installing the new fork. Glad I did because I realized the axle size on the geared hub is considerably smaller, than the size of the axle on the DD hub. The torque plates I am using were made for the big axles as they fit perfect on that, and they are a bit loose on the smaller axle. Loose enough where there was about 30* of spinout from where I seated them during assembly, and they had dropped out of the dropout (no pun) slightly. Good thing is the bike dropouts, torque plates, and geared hub are still fine. So I will be re-installing the new DD hub, after realizing the geared unit axle is too small. I'm going to put that hub on either my GT avalanche or perhaps the wife's diamondback.
For reference, i took caliper measurements of the axle cross section near the hub bearing where its round and here they are:
Also like the idea the wire comes out the brake side on the DD instead of the freewheel side like on the geared unit
