Cycle Analyst feature request- Spectrum Analyzer

Postby StudEbiker » Tue May 29, 2012 5:23 pm

Being a child of the 80's, I so miss the old spectrum analyzers.

Looks like someone has made a pretty nifty device that uses a similar screen as the CA.

It would be too awesome to be able to plug an MP3 player into a CA and have it function as a spectrum analyzer!!

C'mon Justin. Make this happen!! :D

Actually, that's an analog device.

Introducing a digital/ analog-analog/digital conversion into a portable device would not be possible[or at least desirable].

Now of Justin wanted to add a line-level low-pass filter out to the Velo Amp with a corresponding 200 RMS mono amp to run the sub.....

If the CA sampled fast enough, you could use the voltage input to run a line-out from an MP3 player into it, and control your bike based on the music. ;) Or display a spectrum. But AFAIK, it doesn't run at a speed fast enough to sample that fast, and still update the display and do all the other things the CA needs to do.

You *could* build one that does, I suppose.
