how to modify shimano existing brake levers

Looking for guidance on how to add, if possible, micro cut-off switches to my current Diamond Back hybrid. I am going to convert it to and ebike, however, the shimano index shifter and break lever are incorporated into one unit on both bar ends.

Is there a retrofit kit, and or parts source, to add the microswitch cutoffs, into an existing brake lever. The brake levers from the ebike conversion kit will not work on my existing set up. Thanks
 
No kit exists to my knowledge, but You could modify the brake levers you have, if you can make your own brackets to mount the brake switch below the brake handle body and add a contact plate to the handle. But that is doing it the hard way.

The easy way is to add an inline switch to the brake cable. Several different vendors sell them. this is a link to the first one I found. There may be better versions or better vendors out there.

Luna Cycle sells switches and magnets for retrofitting conventional brake levers. They are equipped with nice quality plugs that might or might not work with your system. The setup comes with double stick tape, but would be better with epoxy putty or hot glue.

Thanks. I emailed them, they said they dont carry anything like that. If you can locate it on Luna's site and link me in, i'd appreciate it.
