Good morning friends. I have 250 ~ 350w hub motor of several different brands and all the clutches slip with the 20s 1850 battery controller 18a 6 fet. My English is bad I use google translator, so maybe I do not find speeches on this subject in endeless. I've already injected oil into the clutch. nothing solves. I am in the mood to weld to keep locked :) please help me with a suggestion. thank you I am Matheus from Brazil

I think the 1500w+ (84v x 18A) that you're putting thru the small motors is probably producing too much torque for the design to handle, especially with hard starts from a stop, depending on mass being accelerated, etc.

Papa posted a mod to a clutch

that has some potential in helping slippage, but I don't know that it is enough for what you're doing.

Note that on my old Fusin 350w geared hub, the clutch didn't just slip, but it cracked open and failed (thus slipping permanently) running only around 1000W peak thru it.

I'll keep it short. You are killing your motor with that much power.

Get the welder out to lock the clutch, then you can ride till the motor fries.

You need big motor, or less power.
