i'm going to run 24S 60A through a pro 901 type thing and was wondering what some good wiring would be and isnt insanely difficult to jam through the axle. tried to do 10g magnet wire but it's sooo tough. planning to use 12g turnigy wire, should take the power am i right? i used 12g hookup wire from radioshack for 20S 45A and was no issue.

I'd be very interested to see how you get on with this upgrade :)

If your Pro 901 is the same as mine, you'll want to dress the slot with something like a Bastard Mill file. If you have access to a mill, it wouldn't hurt to widen the slot by as much as you're comfy with. I use Polar Wire Arctic Ultgraflex Blue 10 and 12G wire on my trikes. http://www.polarwire.com Turnigy is a good choice for wire but the service at Polar Wire is far superior to HK. As always YMMV.

Good Luck
Stable:
05 Catrike Road (Yellow), 20" 48V 1000W GM hub motor,12s24Ah Lipo batt.
12 Catrike Expedition (Candy Purple), 18s32Ah Lipo batt. Lyen 18 FET low RDS controller, C'Lyte HS3540 hub motor, CA-SA, Mueller Bros. Windwrap XT fairing, Terra Cycle Cargo Monster extension. Still evolving, should be interesting by next Spring.
2011 Roll Over America tour, 50 Velomobiles, 5000 Km, 24 days, Portland, OR-Washington DC, July 28th-August 24th 2011, damn I was tired after that.

so you stripped the 12g wire and heatshrinked no? seems like even if you widened the hole it would still be too small with all that thick silicone, though i dont plan to widen the hole because i want this motor to be strong as hell, though i doubt widening the axle would do much. i do alot of orders from HK so i think i'll stick with turnigy wire. i think i read somewhere that 12g HK wire is rated at 125A so i think i'll be good with that limit.
