Bad Electrolytic Capacitor Teardown YT Vid

Oh man I dig this video so much. Whenever electronics start to go bad my first instinct is always ‘open it up and look for a bulging capacitor.’ I’ve seen ‘leaky’ or faulty caps cripple multi-thousand dollar motherboards and equally repaired e-waste with a $1 component – similar to electronupdate’s video below. But I never had the grit to open one up (either a fear of it exploding further or leaking chemistry or just absentmindedness until after the part is already chucked). And this video shows what you might be missing, including the amount of material they can fit in such small components – wow!
