Hello
After casualy find this monster:http://www.tppower.com/sort.asp?class_id=4&news=124,
My question are if the smallest version of the tp power tp100,from the data have more dense power to astro flight.
Any idea?

Well the larger one the XL100 they are talking big words. I never heard of these motors before.

Specs tp100xl

As you see they promises 72kw from the XL, and 25kw from the TP100. If those number is anything close to the truth I guess TP has astro beaten for power to weight. For all I know these motors from TP could a bunch of BS, just inflated power numbers. Or maybe they are costing an arm and a leg?

I wouldn't mind having a 72kw peak 30 kw continuous motor that weighs in at 8kg :D
The smaller TP100 @25kw spins at 25.000 RPM, so reduction is mandatory.

That TP100xl is a beast, and that goes for TP100 as well. Have you found any reviews of either of these motors?

There are a few mentions of that brand around ES, if it helps:

I searched the TP website for the TP100 and found this:

These are the specs:

Maybe run it with one of these 400 amp continuous controllers.

Just thinking...

Also have a look at Flier Model ESC's. They've got ESC's all the way up to 28s 1200 A, various 16s-22s 400 A ESC.

its real alright

KV - 540
Max amps - 480
Max volts - 48
Continious watts - 12,000
Max watts - 23,000
Max RPM - 25,000
Current no load - 4.4
Diameter - 100mm
Length 103mm
Water cooled

RPM is high, 23kw with 12kw cont, man , they have water jackets too, just google TP100 motor :) nuts .

" we are able to custom made TP 100 motors within 70KV to 800KV."

70kv 70v - 5000 RPM, could run very low reduction gear. or direct

Looking more closely this motor for 300kv will take 300amps so 70kv will take max 60 amps give 4.9kw , this would be for 5000 rpm max direct drive at 70volts. So 60 amps @ 100v , for 7k rpm and 6kw peak. So in fact this motor may take 3kw cont for a direct drive. Mmmm do my figures work ? Shame it's not sensored .
