Ummm.. Started out in Victoria BC Canada, then sta
ES Bible "Search found 147 matches: +Atmega". Again:

Create an Atmega based BLDC controller made for electric bicycles, add bluetooth, an Android mobile app and a cloud service.:
https://hackaday.io/project/25337-hackers-connected-electric-bicycle

BLDC controllers for bicycles are pretty cheap and the low cost versions start at roughly 35€. However, when the second such controller ceased operation while I was in the middle of nowhere (ugghh, 100% bio-biking all the way back), I decided it was time to dig into the inner workings of these little gems and create my own.

Thus project contains:
* an open hardware BLDC controller based on an Atmega 328
* it can power up to 1000W
* has bluetooth
* and connectors for hall sensors, brakes, pedal assist and throttle

Plus
* an Android app with cool hacker features
* a cloud service to share the data

Creating a BLDC controller from scratch is an fascinating journey and if you are interested then follow the project.

Hackaday is quite a bit a different audience from ES. It's my project thus thanks for posting it here. I have opened a thread https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=88818 with a title more appropriate for ES and am happy to answer questions and do more updates.

Actually the controller would not have happened without ES and special mention goes to Jeremy Harris and his simple BLDC controller.
