I have option to have a QS 6000w/7speed and PAS or the 8000w QS both (273) with only a single gear. Which hub option would you go with. Battery samsung 72v 40ah enduro frame. 6000 comes with an 72v 80 amp square controller. The single speed 8000 comes with 72v 120 amp square controller. Also should I pay the extra 200 for full hydralic brakes? Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure only the 4000 watt (40mm stator) version of the 273 is available with the ability to add a bicycle freewheel and brakes. The other larger wattage motors are for scooters and motorcycles and do not fit bicycle components. You would always want to run hydraulic brakes on a bicycle that will easily out power many motorcycles. Not sure why a PAS would be wanted on a bicycle that will weigh over 150 lbs at best....as a novelty maybe?

Have a link to these motor/controller options? Are you just simply stating higher output with the QS273 4000 watt motor and this or that controller? The ability to run a 7 speed on a 273 motor would be something to see.

I have a QS 205 motor on a enduro frame and I can assure you with a single speed it's a tight squeeze at best.

Good luck on the build, sounds awesome.

The QS8000 273 is single chain ring which is fine. I have been thinking of getting one of these. http://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/torque-sensors.html
But that would take a CA v3 the the adv PAS ( whatever that is) so I've been reading.

This the cheap version but only measures crank rotation and not human torque.

This is the only link I could find to what they run to run the QS 8000 273 at 153mm.

And I took the alarm system.

The other option is to go with a sabtovon contoller option is picture low on the page on this link. I may just do this.

In the end I was just going to get a controller from powervelociy with his allarm sinewave and Bluetooth and just wait for the leukemia eqipment to fizzle out.
But for 4000 shipped with the QS 8000w shipped with alarm it was hard to pass on.

I haven't placed the order yet. I'm to discobulatted about getting the sobrovon and getting a CA and torque PAS from powervelocity.

Hope that provides. Thanks again for any feed back.

Thank you Tom for the reality check. I guess a pas really has no good efficacy here. I just thought it would take a torque sensor pedal assist would sort of take the place of not have gears. I decided on the Sabvoton....by passing there controller and Leile TFT. And just going to rig up a Cycle Analyst. And thanks for making me realize I was having built a heavy bike...thats the truth. Oh well. I'm on my own with the Sabvoton as far a powervelocity goes. but I should be okay....I just need to get the blutooth mod and have a limiter switch, which I think is a feature of the CA anyway. At least with the Sabvoton will get a variable regen option, which I would assume would just connect to any old thumb mechanism....Still researching. The Sabvoton also has a lineout for theft control w alarm and motor seizure...but cant find anything to connect to that. YET.

Thanks TOM!!!

Lots of Sabvolton info here on this forum and yes you can use a thumb throttle for variable regen. As far as the alarm and rear wheel lock just get in the habit of NEVER EVER leaving you bike alone outside even if locked up with an alarm....someone will try and steal it.

Looking forward to the build.

HAAAAA!!!! kNOW I want a GPS built it in!!!! But you got me thinking....would I be better fitted with a 6000W 273 with a single gear or just go with the 8000w single gear....What would you guys do?

I wonder what the diference would be with the 72v 39.6ah samsung battery?

BTY Love ya TOM.

Cheers!
