Ilia,

Thanks for the update info on the version 4 clutch assembly. Do you know if there are any material improvements/benefits of the blue composite gears over the green ones? Also, do you know if the version 4 clutch produces less growl noise when accelerating hard from a dead stop over the previous clutch versions?

Ilia,

I have a TerraTrike Path http://www.terratrike.com/path.php that I'd like to "electrify" can you recommend an entire kit for this? I am looking at the H series motors on your site, do you sell these in a kit?

Thanks in advance!

Will the Version 4 clutch allow the V2T to run >52v at your recommended 25A max?

What voltage can be used safely at 20A with the V2T and the version 4 clutch?

I'm a big guy who has been running the V2T/V4 clutch at 20a 64v (a123 20s) up steep hills without issue. That works out to only 1300w.

the more time I spend looking for the perfect kit, the more the BMC V2 motor + CA stands out...
and now, with better cogs, and a better freewheel... that's just ridiculous

My only regret so far is the apparent impossibility of connecting a Pedal-Assist Sensor (P.A.S) on controllers found at Ilia's place (Crystalyte and BMC).
It's a pitty, I'd love to be able to cruise-control naturally with my peddling rate.

Is there any simple way a P.A.S could be added to such a system, either instead of the throttle or along (even better)?
Would one have to be knowledgeable in electronics to do so?

I have a modified lashout (chain drive 1,000 watt motor/ 48v 20AH Ping/ 12 FET 4110 Mark II Extreme Modder LYEN Edition Controller) and am wondering if any of these motors that are disused here could replace my current setup. I can push 30mph and climb some pretty steep hills but I am sick of always having to fix the chain drive system.

Ham,

I have a BMC V2S with the V3 clutch running at 75v hot (18s3p lipo) and on a 26" rim I can get 32 mph and climb the steepest hills on 20 amps. If you go this route you will easily top what you have. I'm selling my set up cause I wanna go higher power. I like the smooth power but I need to be in the 40's for speed.

HAM...i have a cyclone 1200w motor driving through a 360 Nuvinci, with 50v,20amp lipo and a Lyen 50v 40 amp controller...speed is 29.4mph with a 20"rear wheel...change the rear wheel to 26 or 27" and speed would probably increase to 35mph+..add another 20 odd volts and you could expect 40mph or better...see index, ebike general, topic wood bike with motor...cyclone taiwan sell the nuvinci 360 for $275.00...if you go this route,be sure to get the heat fins..my motor runs just slightly warm
