Does anyone know of a good source for replacement spokes for these kits? I managed to break one and I'm having a hard time finding thicker than normal ones locally. I think it is 13Ga and 221.8mm long. Not sure on the thickness though as i only had my multi-size spoke tool for measurement.
Any source with fast delivery in eu/uk would be great, and some hints on what to get as i don't know the proper terminology.

There's no difference. They are both names for the same motor.

Yes thats right Puma was a name given to the motors Mac and BMC by Mark Higgon from team hybrid when he bought them in to the UK about 5 years ago when I did all the films for them on the BMX. Although in the main the Puma was a BMC motor.

I've got a "puma" branded motor, with a screw on disc mount, the casing is actually totally different to the later mac motors I've got. Internally they are nearly identical though. Knoxie have you got a link to your puma BMX? that's exactly what I'm working on now.

Yep, took him a couple of days to get back too me about getting replacement spokes.
Just hang in there, hes a one man show as far as i can tell, and hes bound to get backlogged sometimes.

Yes, it is quite common for him to take several days to reply. I've got two kits from him, and it was slow to get his attention, but once we started to get into details, he would often respond next day (instantly, essentially, given the time difference).

IMO his reputation here is well-deserved and it is worth the wait. But time-wise he is a victim of his own success, so my advice is to respect his time - wait maybe three days and send a gentle reminder. Use one contact method only (the emissions-free email seemed best in my experience). Make sure your emails are short and to the point. Offer to pay as soon as you know what you want.
