Does the 9V drain all the time then? Or only when the unit is in use?

What would happen if 9V diode mode weren't used? It won't have enough power to work? Would it work w/o mod at 80V?

This is really better used for measuring charger efficiency by running your charger through it. To use it to measure DC ebike data probably wouldn't be worth the modification....

Yep, I've done that. I'm considering solar for the house and as i consider systems I wanted to get a handle on the usage individual appliances. Also, I was expecting for my little tv interview they were going to ask me how much it cost to charge! Can't remember but I think my meanwell sucked in somewhere around 3A for a total of 3Kwh? For 2/3 the pack?

Anyway, I know it's just 15A max, but I since my wattsup broke, why not?

So bottom line, it won't work for DC w/o the mod? Would DC current break it?

And, will it still work w/ AC AFTER the mod?
