I think someone asked about the phase wires gauge earlier.

Red one is a tipical 10awg silicone wire from Wojtek the other ones are the big motor phase wires.

General appologies about confusion.

I will try to do some damage control.

Since the data from chinese supplier is not the most reliable information on the earth, i was reluctant to public technical infos.

Official testing was not done jet.

All I can tell is that all 30 motors from first batch are identical.

Kv is about ...something.

120 kg driver with 48 V battery pack of the flat road can reach max speed 51 kmh,in less than 3 seconds (measured by GPS).

Italian friends informed us about max speed higher that 140 km. i was not there, but I trust them.

Best thing we can do at this moment is to publish some videos with different setups, so any one of you that can help that way, please go ahead.

Motor is very solid, and do not get warm very easily, so high speeds are possible.

Our idea was to use it with Greyborg frames. Greyborg bicycles should be something like Harley motorycles.

I want them so reliable that you will use them for 20-30 years with no failures, and they also must have clean design without too many cables.

That is why we prefer to build Greyborgs with 2 speeds only.

We had no intention to compare our motor with X 5400 products.

X54 have 15 kg, and our motor have 10kg. Those are different categories.

We are building bicycles, not racing motorcycles.

Our supplier can manufacture megamonster motors with 20 or 25 kg, but those motors are intendend to be used in car wheels.

Need some help picking a rear shock. My local bike shop is trying to rip me off insanely.

Can someone tell me what all I need to buy for the rear shock, and point me to an online store that I can order from. I imagine it's the shock, plus spring, plus bushings. What size bushings does the bike require?

Thanks HAL and gensem. I'm looking at the bushings now and there are two types with the same measurements. Could you tell me which of these would work:
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=62819
or
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=57750

and also what type of bolt I should buy to connect all the parts.

Apologies for the basic questions, but bike shops around here are useless and only really become interested if you talk about $1000s in business.

You need this item
65966 In Stock 30.0mm x 8.0mm

but this is outer dia for manitou shock ONLY! You have to get bushings from shock producer. Each shock have different bushing system.

212199 In Stock 8.0mm x 30.0mm - 14mm
In this item 14mm is eye inner diameter. And you can measure on your shock. But what is missing here the width of the eye. That is also important. I will make few sketches to clear this.

That's why they leave the plastic on - to keep you from inadverdantly 'staining' it when you open the box.

Another quick question for HAL. The rear brake adapter doesn't fit over the cromotor shaft. Is it safe to just drill it out to a larger size or will I weaken the part too much?

Depends on how much of that is heat. If you read the threads on this motor it is about a double wide 9C.
