Caution:

Magnets can and do delaminate, and cause catastrophic failure.

Front wheel lock ups can cause death.

One landed a guy in Boulder Colorado in the hospital for reconstructive surgery.

Sorry for the bad news. Josh K.

I plan on using it on my BOB trailer. Wheel lockup would only be an inconvience, but thanks for the heads up.

Why don't you quote your source?

I've never heard of this ever happening before. Is this specific to golden motor or all direct drive motors?

Whats the weight of the 16 and 20" wheels? Any chance you have any of those sizes as dead motors that could be used for a project?

I've got an idea to use a couple on a folding comuter. One to be the motor. the other hollowed out to be the battery.

Or, put the motor in front and call it a FidalTorce?

"Great , I just saw these smaller sizes for my 20" foldable and now I hear this ..

The worrying thing is that I know there have been a lot of faults reported , and their aftersales care is crap .

back to the drawing board.. :("
