This is a Vectrix 100% electric scooter. It is the nicest electric scooter on the planet, and one of the nicest electric vehicles. It is one of the few highway legal fully electric vehicles and will cruise at 68 mph on the highway. Very powerful, great handling, extremely quiet and super cool. Draws very little electricity from the wall and will get the cost equivalent of about 400 mpg. This is a 2007 model brand new. The 2011 version of the exact same scooter is nearly $12000. This one was originally over 9K, we just need to thin out our inventory which is why we're selling it so low.

Never pay for gasoline again!

Still 2 in Seattle. Scroll down to almost the bottom. These two have the upgrades done. I think the 3rd one they had sold for $3,800 last October.
Before you buy check for;
New battery pack, not the "original"
Upgraded software to correct controller and state of charge problems.
Warranty; A large fund was set up as part of the bankruptcy to cover these first models. :mrgreen:
These models can not be imported into Canada. Binder tried dat.

With warrantee, this is a good deal, in my state that qualifies for $1,500 rebate.

I paid the dealer $3,250 for mine, new without warrantee or rebate.

Would you get a rebate on a 2007?
Would you be surprised if it had warranty? I was unable to get an answer when I phoned them?
Do you "cruise at 68mph" or is 62mph flat out with no headwind?
Did you get the second generation battery and software?

I have been trying to convince the DOT that all Vectrix are the same, but the dam people at Vectrix US are telling them that they are different. Vectrix US said the ones imported into Canada are different and come directly from Poland. I proved to the DOT that this was not true by having a letter from a Canadian dealer showing they come to Canada from the US. The only difference I could find is that in Canada the headlight goes on when you turn the key.
To me anything under $4000 is the best e-motorcycle for the buck on the planet. Who in their right mind would pay $5-6,000 for an X-Treme if they could buy a Vectrix for less? And I own an X-M 3500.

Thanks;

2007/2008 qualify for the rebate when they are sold new - but only if Vectrix honors the warrantee, and they are only doing that in california with 2 dealers they consider authorized - even though their website lists 20+ ca dealers as authorized, including the one I bought from. At the discounted price, I would NOT expect it to have warrantee. BTW,MSRP IS 8995 last I heard for a V with warrantee.

Even without warrantee, Dana gave me the 68mph upgrade. I typically ride in street traffic, 40mph-50mph, but I tested it a few times and got over 70mph.

I do not have a reference for 2nd gen batts or software, there have been many iterations of firmware and mine is current after Dana's Visit, I was on the Oct '08 rev before that. Are you referring to the fabled LICO pack as 2nd-gen? Did you see my "fuse-change" post? Expect to change the defective fuse, a serious hassle.

The headlight turns on with the key on US models too.

The Vectrix is a whole different level of build quality from the XM, sorta like Tidalforce/E+/A2B vs Currie. If nothing else, it is a great platform for a Markcycle Hub motor and lifepo4 upgrades...
