Tightening torque on these is supposed to be around 135 n-m.. Which is about how much torque my motor makes. I'll upload a pic soon of what happened. But the motor axle actually spun out and widened the the frame another 2 cm
Makes for a scary maiden ride...
Were you using these without a torque arm? What made you think these could replace a torque arm/plate?
The second or third post even says that explicitly.
funny that you mention that, i was removing my wheel tonight and was surprised to find the nut on one side completely loose. The other one was still thight
i remember tightening both of them pretty hard, about 2 weeks ago, but i guess it was not enough. Better check those on a regular basis, even if they are the best system around.
Did you lubricate them (eg with WD40 etc.) when you put them on? I have found they really need good lubrication to work properly. When I have used them without lube, they have slipped quickly, but with a good lubing they are tighter than a nun's nasty.
