Maybe close at 50 plus amps on lipo. 72v at 35 amps. Something close to that.

I wonder if these would make good hub motors for something like a honda civic.
Do they perform identically in both directions? If doc can pull a bus with 1, I think 2 of them would have no problem with 2 of them.
Anybody have the performance spec curves for these?

on a car there is no reason not to get a high rpm centrally mounted motor and gear it down.

we should leave the overall length of axle long enough to fit 150mm dropouts as well, just the part between the dropouts will be machined more for those wanting to start with 135mm dropouts.

please ask that kenny

Brilliant idea Scriewy  ,that would make all the motors universal use for either 150mm or 135mm.That would enhance the resale value of the motor too.
It would be easier for kenny to make them all the same (won't have to think so much and count :D ) He should like that for the short product run.
I called Max and he loves the idea too.....
Is everyone else OK with this?

More exposed axle is always better. It would help protect the wires coming out of the motor, give a passenger something to stand on, help you mount assorted racks, give you ample thread area for stupid thick torque plates...

+1
Be simple enough to finish the length yourself to your own needs... and if the ordering process is eased... :D
I ordered the 135mm and am now thinking the longer option is much smarter... be surprised if most (if not all)
short orders might be regretted if not changed...? ... I'm in :!:

damm did i just miss the order? a real shame, it would be nice if they opened some sort of dropshipper program to us hardcore ebike enthusiasts here at endless sphere im not as familiar with this motor as with 9c or macs but it seems everyone has incredible things to say about them, about how much juice would be required to take this thing over 45mph? any way to still get in on this action? stuff always comes up this thanksgiving / black friday week totally forgot to check this thread :(

Good God man, this thread has been up for 3-4 months, you first posted on it in August, the past two months we have been crying for more buyers to make the deal happen, the deadline has been extended twice, on 11/17 you posted "is the final day to pay still the 21st to get in on this deal?", and NOW you are suprised you missed it? :?

Seriously?

The rest of us on the group buy could have used your buy-in while the deal was being negotiated, but you weren't there for us. In this hobby, you often have to identify the good stuff from imcomplete information, pay months in advance, hope the deal goes through, and hope it does what you want when you get it. Sitting on the fence will leave you, well, sitting on the fence. I'm sure you can buy one at a serious markup after they are delivered. :D

wow douchebag a simple no would of done just fine, but thanks for all the attitude and need to tell me all that about me, anyone would of guessed youd be in a much happier mood after getting a great deal but thats just not the case im guessing, everyone has a life outside of this forum and external situations, if you really must know i was more consumed with another different where i was defrauded $800 and had been keeping up more on that, thanks for looking into how early on id pledged support real creepy ud go thru all that.. i was tuned in last week but classes dont give me much time to stray outside of school this semester, this also tends to be the busiest time of year for many of us not just me, i dont know what you mean about sitting on the fence i had shown interest since early on but until recently nothing much was very official, these sort of threads happen all the time here and in other forums and many times stay at that so i cant just run with each one besides the fact not everyone sits on $4-500 to wire and wait to see what happens, not all of us have all day to spend in here its alot of information that someone needs to learn on any motor, besides the desheng problem i encountered on my newest motor which took up some time, i havent had the chance to spend a whole lot of time on the sphere recently, im glad you got your order thanks for rubbing your great deal in yea im sure alot of us did miss it if you also want to look into and issue out your unnecessary opinions to everyone else who wasnt able to get into the final cut

I would echo Oatnets comment. We were practically begging people to get their order in, then Johnny-come-lately pipes in with, "shucks, how did I miss this" type comments. Annoying....really.
