It's in mm. It's not machine shop accurate, but it's pretty close. Done with a tape measure and protractor and naked eye. The shock and supports are in the right location, but their shapes are a little generic. I was most concerned with the interior of the triangle space being accurate.

John - AWESOME

4s hard case pack http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... ac51ab3f03

6s pack http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ ... ac51ab3f03

Image
looks like you could fit 22 4s packs.... but with a box it'd probably be less. Maybe you could do 24s3p with a box.

I'm not that sure about 24S3P...

This is 24S2P...

Image

Of course, this includes some space for padding. Even jammed in really good, I don't think 24S3P is possible inside the frame without some serious jamming. I can only probably fit 1 MAAAYYBIE 2 more packs in there. 4 more probably won't work out well.

I used the dimensions listed for the 4S packs, and made up a CAD render of the foam block a while ago. I basically decided it wasn't practical to actually fit, protect, and wire in anything beyond 24S2P in the V2100 frame. It's probably possible, but I would like things to be reliable, secure, and easy to repair/replace/diagnose.

And by CAD, I mean cardboard... It's functional.

Plus, I really need to fit 24S4P, so I will just toss them on the rear rack.

I look forward to seeing how you work out the rear rack. Should be ~13 lbs back there. I guess it's not too bad. You could probably build a box out of balsa like I'm doing for my current build. Light weight and will be like foam in a crash.

My 1st build had 59lbs on the rear rack. It broke my seatpost. Twice.

I'm guessing 15 or so is fine.

OK, so it won't satisfy you power-hungry riders, but for the A123 users, Cell_Man said he can do a 12s5p triangle (~36v ~11.5Ah) (26650 cells) and it looks like it will fit, with some wiggle room for padding/wires.

edit: added pics of actual 12s5p triangle in frame:

Farfle...MIA?

Well, I hope he's ok!

Sorry to hear you guys are still waiting. :(

Gensem, I will be posting a lot of info and specs in my thread soon. Sorry I denied you info on the power system. I have nothing to hide now that I've got 24 of those 4s hardcase lipos on order! So keep an eye out, I hope I can help you get things moving if your waiting on me.

BTW: My +4.5" extended aluminum swingarm for my Genesis build should be done this afternoon (so the welder said), and I just got my box of goodies from Thud for the transmission! :)

Best of luck,
Jay

I know why the swing arm has not show yet... seems like brazilian customs are now holding everything that comes from USA for 90 days in an attempt to make us citizens buy less stuff in USA. Pretty lame IMO.
Now my projects ll be delayed even further.

Tell me about it... I feel so abused, worst part is that I cannot do anything. Maybe someone from US can speak with an american politician and say Brazilian customers are behing tricked by government. You know, pressure from the outside is always better and as far as I know Brazil is very good customer to US.

Have a look for yourself, translation is not perfect, but its good enough.

That's no good... Is it that common for people to buy stuff from the US over there?

Are you sure it was even shipped? I was in on the first batch, live in the US, and still didn't get my swingarm yet. :/

Im not sure if it was shipped too, coz I got no tracking number and Farfle does not reply to pms.
Either way I posted the news about the custom policy thats being enforced now because it really pissed me. Imagine if im about to ride my ebike and find that I need a bolt or a clamp thats only made in US, that means waiting about 100 days. Its really a kick in the nuts when you are doing things like an ebike that need alot of parts that are not available here.
Stuff in the US is cheaper than local, I dont have any official data but im sure that millions of brazilians do buy from US using mail services like USPS.

You guys never got a tracking #?! Is it too late to cancel or dispute the transaction?

With Farfle posting in other places on the forum and then not even replying to the PM's of his paid customers...I'd say it's time to drop the benefit of the doubt and start taking this seriously before you guys get burnt!!!

I wish I could help you out gensem, it would be good to find out if it was in fact shipped and is really just stuck in customs.

ZOMVTEK, cool, I've been out on my build a few times on just 6s 10Ah and a super simple 190-200 esc. It is a climber, I've not been able to stop the back wheel yet in my quest to find the steapest hills around the train tracks by walden and transit. So much torque! I've got 8 of the 4s cardcase packs on the way from HK, so it won't be too long before I'm up and running. Since you are close and IF you never get your swingarm, would you like an aluminum one like mine? I could help you out.
