Ebike becomes more and more popular.

It will be a very good option to commute to a not too far working place.
Courier are driving their ebike to deliver small parcels.
Resident just drive an ebike to buy things in residential zone.
It can cover 15-25 miles cycle in a very low cost.
It saves money for you and you have more money to improve your life.

And even you have a car, you still will still need a bike or ebike as it's a samll and convenient vehicle.

geoline is getting less and less. And of course, the price are getting higher and higher.
Also it's not possible that every people drive a car(about 4-6,000,000,000 cars) even if it takes money as a ebike. Waste and emission will just harm people.
Environmentally friendly, practical and economical life will be the trend of development of future.

We used all cell phase change material in our club-assembled 18650 pack. It easily handled frequent bursts to 5C during the 1 hour race duration. We were using Panasonic cells. Thanks a lot, we placed first.

1) What is the specific PRECISE cell that Allcell uses for ebikes as of June 2012 ???

Please post discharge data for these cells...

2) Please show us by posting the cell voltage curve to end of discharge under various loads.

3) What is the calendar life of these cells ???

If Allcell can't produce this data, then I recommend not trusting this battery long-term. I would not buy one, nor would I recommend it. We need "real world" hard-data beyond the marketing hype of the thermal-compound stabilizer & positive comments from short term users.

If A123 can do this, then Allcell can too.

Anyway, bad voltage sag on 2C as suspected. Put a 2C load on a fully charged ( 42v ) pack and it will dip all the way down to 38v. These are best ran at 1C or less ( just like any laptop cell pack )

Sanyo cuts off the cycle count in their spec sheet at 500, which should say something. That's at a 1C rate. Allcell advertises this pack as a 2C constant pack. I can't imagine how low the cycle life for these cells is at 2C usage. This is a number most lithium cell producers won't tell you because it is more often than not, rather awful.

Some formal tests would be nice, but the spec sheet tells us all we need to know. These packs are good if you have a real low power setup, or are willing to pay up for a larger pack just to feed a low-middle power setup. It is basically the lightest and smallest battery you can buy right now.

We're on Page 9 of this thread started in Jan.2011 & still don't know the precise cell spec info direct from Allcell. Bummer.

What controller do you use? What amps do you pull? On hills? Steep hills? Voltage sag is? What motor? Average distance traveled? Longer rides are? Which battery pack volts/amps? Thanks!

If it is the cells that we think are being used, then the calendar life does not look good, imo. Let's see how your battery performs after 2-3 years.

The fact the cell weight is lighter and battery size is more compact has me questioning about the real performance of these batteries vs well known chemistry such as A123. These battery cells are very suspect until we know the actual precise cell being used, so we can track down the data sheet on the cell. Until that happens, imo, buyer beware. I wouldn't risk my money on one until I knew that information upfront before buying.

It's a reasonable request too.

Can you get that information for us, since you are the most active seller on ES for this battery???

As for the cells and packs being "American made" you have to draw your own conclusions. I'm going to say that I think they may be just "American assembled", and that if you took one apart you'd find that the cells came from the Far East............................

If this is the case, then I think the claim in the title of this this thread should be challenged and maybe moderated out.
