JRH,
I'm highly interested in the 18" diameter, 1.6" width, black anodized mentioned on page 1. I'd buy 2 right away. Did you get enough interest to move forward on these?

Apologies if it was covered in the thread. I read OP but it doesn't answer a ? that can help me & maybe others out.
Is it possible for you to lace a X5 to a 14" MX rim? How about a H series or 9c?
I'd like to potentially convert a pitbike that use 12"/14" knobbies.
Ever done a lace job like a this?

Thanks John.

I'm still waiting on prototypes (for some unknown reason), I absolutely am trying to move forwards with this in all sizes. I don't want to plunk down so much cash without protos first

Ive never tried a 14" rim. It would be tough. 16's are already small enough, I don't even know if a 14 could fit around it!

Thank you John!
I only just "discovered" I need larger wheels, so I have not suffered the wait for prototypes/stock wheels. I'll definitely be in for two when you've got the stock.

Just got back into town, I'll be back at work Monday. I'll go through emails and respond, but if your question is a "how do I order" email it may get ignored. Please just buy directly from the site. If it isn't on the site yet it isn't available for sale.

Hm... what would give me 22" equivalent? a 2.5" wide/tall moped tire on an 18" rim?

Are you stuck on a DMR revolver? i found this hub and it looks rather beefy..

Alternately, could a shimano deore do?
I want to run about 20 horsepower.. wondering if this is even doable with bike hubs and spokes.

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

Yeah, an 18" would be your best bet.

The DMR hubs are the only front QR20 with 36 hole I can find in the states.

Just got word my prototype rims are here in the states. So when they say 6 weeks for prototyping they mean about 6 months

Hello John,

I am looking for a 19" aluminum rim ( probably 1.60 width) and the right spokes for my 5403 hub motor. I plan on using a 2.50 or 2.75 x 19 tire ( 90/90/19)

Can you help me with that? That's teh best equivalent diameter to my 24 x 2.5" hookworm i found.

After running my motor in a 29inch wheel (hits head), I am now interested in running my cromotor in a more appropriate rim under 20". I figure 16-17" is where I should be to be able to fit the wheel in a vintage moped someday. What is the latest and greatest advice?

hillzofvalp use the smallest rim you can!
14" rim if thats possible and thick tires ll add cushion to your ride with an OD of about 19" something

It s actually a bike from 1995 that I do not own.. I would like to find something similar to this: a vintage sport moped with fairings to protect the electronics

Good luck with that idea, I consider myself lucky to have what I got. It fits my needs every way but one, no rear suspension, but a soft seat and alert riding style should keep it together. I can't wait to get some batteries, and finish it. A lot of guys in your interest range are buying older sport bikes and moding them. With the power of a cromotor and lipo batteries, full suspension, and all weather electronics really enhance useability. Me, I just wanna ride again, so my needs are small. A little help from JRH and Farfle, and I'll be stylin!!

I got the prototypes and they look really sweet and are two ounces lighter than the steel versions I have been using. The only issue now is that I am starting an Ebike business here in my town and now I have to choose between business and rims. So if you want rims made, post up and I will do a KickStarter for preorders and supporters of the concept if there is enough interest. I would need about 42 rims paid up front at $70 each so that I could afford the manufacturing run. Regular price will be at $90 once they land.

What say you people?

Yep. I would do a run of 17's x 1.6" first. Mostly black, and some reds.

More than likely I could get enough interest in the classic moped community to pull it off. My main concern is the ebike people though, as we need different hole angles for the larger hub motors.

I'd be in for 2, I'd use them eventually. Especially if you provide spoke recommendations and lengths to make it easy for mechanical dum dums like myself. I could possibly see putting in for more for a kickstarter campain...

Which is one thing I need to get on. If you have seen the rims recumpence got made, they have the same finish. Polished al, then anodized. it looks really slick in person.

I sent you a msg through your website yesterday enquiring about some moped rims and spokes.

I'm just making sure you got it and it didn't get caught up in a spam filter! Sorry for being impatient :P

Could you get them with 11 or 12 gauge compatible drillings? What about a 1.75-2" rim?
