Edit: Bad Internet connection, double post...
1st build: Dahon Jetstream folding bike. Quick, reliable, capable of 30mph. Light enough to lift, folds for easy transport by car/bus/train.
2nd build: RC powered 2009 Norco A-Line. Top speed 31mph. Built like a tank, it's resistant to Boston potholes, can stop on a dime, easily goes up/down curbs when necessary.
3rd build (just started): Scratch build ultimate utility bike. Based on a common power module using a NuVinci left side freewheel.

A link helps.

I thought that frame looked very cool at the DR. Wish they still had the race, fascinating to see what people made. Hows about making it happen in 2013?

The all-arounder: 8T MAC motor on a Trek 4500.
The girlfriend bike: 350W front MAC on a 700c Trek.
The wheelie machine: 20" Rear Magic Pie II on a Trek 4300 MTB
The Bus: ??? on a 'da bomb' cargo bike frame

Pro-tips for noobs: Avoid BMS Battery like the plague | Charge RC Lipos to 4.15v, stop discharging at 3.5-3.6v | Use torque plates/arms! | Rear mounted hubs are always best

@neptronix- Perfect use agni, mow lawn motor and that what you wanted Luke's style deathbike. Just replace the gasoline motor mount to electric motor.

You figured it out right around the time i did. I just won a bid for a used 'da bomb' ( the larger bike on eBay and you guys will be getting more info on these frames soon. :]

I think the 'da trail' could be sweet if it had some tabs for mounting an agni/etek/golden motor 5kw/etc or optionally, a chain driven hub motor. It also needs a little help with the cargo carrying bit, but it is close to what could be very useful to us. Chain line problems look like they would simply not exist.

Thank you all for your feedback, took the new "Da-trail" to the trail for some testing, everything worked great, it climbed everything, went up and over rocks and wet roots, and went downhill with no problems or issues

I have very limited feedback i can give right now.

But i'll tell everyone this, the 'da bomb' frame i received is awesomely bulletproof and tough. I love how overbuilt it is. The 'da trail' looks similar.

FYI, you might want to mention what the gear reduction ratio of the station transmission is & how we could hook an electric motor up to it ( are there keyed shafts that sprockets can be mounted to? ).

the reduction I believe is 16-1 and it does have a drive gear on it, a clutch basket is what drives the unit from a gas engine, not sure what would be the best e bike setup tho.

If you're going to keep having items for sale with no real detail in their posts, but simply linked to some other site, you might consider keeping a single "Design Logic Bikes For Sale Thread" and having all of your for sale posts under that. ;)

Seems like it's loaded with the good stuff.

I have one lingering question about it, though-- with all that room amidships in front of the rear wheel, why is the battery pack taking up valuable real estate on the rack top? That's the cargo area of first resort.

Seriously!!

They never heard of F/R weight distribution? What's the point of a cargo bike that is just hauling it's own fuel?

The batteries can go behind the seat but a mod would have to be done by the buyer, the space there does have mounting holes for the transmission and a "basket" for the batteries can be fabricated and be bolted to that area
