☆ Motor Spec(e.g.)
Image
For more information, please rerefer to attachement "QS 500W-10kW Spoke Motor Quotation & SPEC.pdf".

☆ Motor Configuration
1.Three phase wire, 36 spokes holes*4.2mm or 3.4mm diameter
4.2mm hole suit 8G/9G/10G spoke.
3.4mm hole suit 12G/13G/14G spoke.
2. Enameled wire for motor, use high-grade performance copper wire, a material which more stable in high temperatureand big current condition.
3. V1 type: One hall sets
V2/V3 type: Two hall(one for spare), Waterproof Connectors
4. Disc brake (PCD6*44mm, PCD3*80mm)

☆ Speed Suggestion
V=0.9*RPM*2πr*60/1000
V (KPH), RPM=un-load RPM, r=radius of tire
As Power=2π*Torque*rpm/60=Torque*RPM/9.549, the more RPM is, the less torque will be.
P.S.: The kV/RPM could be customized due to your requirement.
Here is winding of 3kW 205 V3 for reference.
Image

☆ Controller Suggestion
The power of controller ≥power motor.
E.g.
For 205 3000w motor(rated speed 30-80km/h), you could choose 50-80a(limited current) controller.
If for overvoltage using, the current can be improved to 150a(for 30s).
P.S.: The motor might get easily damaged in high output for long time.

When you using overvoltage & Current, then the max. speed * Torque increased sharply, the real power is not yet 3000w.
The higher speed get for motor(overvoltage condition), the bigger limited current should choose for matched controller,
when considering the starting acceleration capability and climbing performance.
If you don’t how to match with controller, please don’t hesitate to contact with me. We could also provide the matched controller.
You could choose Square Wave Kelly Controller KEB72601X,
or Sine wave Sabvoton Controller SVMC072100/72150 & Lingbo Controller .

☆ Motor Design of inner configuration
There are three types,
Normal/V1 type (low cost), Export/V2 type (Cost-effective) and Extra/V3 type (Best Performance).

Image
1. Comparison between V1 and V2.
Holder: Iron(V1), Aluminum (V2)
Hall: One hall with Normal connector(V1), Two halls with Waterproof connector(V2)
Stator: V2 have a stronger configuration, more cooper, thicker section surface, energy saving in usage.
Magnetic Steel Grade: V2 ≥ V1
Efficiency:  84~87%(V1) 86~88%(V2)
In short, normal type is standard configuration, while export type is high configuration.
The price differs because of the cost of raw materials.

2. Comparison between V2 and V3.
The raw materials are alike, main difference in inner construction.
For V3 (16 Pole Pairs):  stronger configuration than V2, wider lamination,
more cooper wire/phase wire and thicker Cross-sectional area section,
bear more current in usage.
Magentic Steel: V3 is wider and thicker.
Efficiency:  86~88%(V2) 88~92%(V3)
Thus, V3 have best performance.

Thank you for your question.
We don't have dealer in Germany. Generally, the hall might be broken.
could you check the problem following attached manual "QS Motor & Kits Manuals 2015.04.11.pdf"?
If the hall damaged, we might delivery some hall sensor for aftersales issues and advise how to change hall.

For more information, please check with sales of the motor. Thank you!

Best Regards

Do you mean 3000W?
If yes, it's not possible to make 3000W motor in 135mm dropout.
As the maximum magnet height is 28mm.
The rated power is 500W, peak power could be about 3000W for few second.
P.S.: Some supplier might call it 3000W, as the peak power might be 3000W.
We name it as rated power for general usage.

Yeah i meant 3KW. Sorry. Thanks for the repsonse. Man it is tough getting anything decent in 135mm dropout. I guess i have to upgrade to 150mm.

Thank you for your question.
Is that QS Motor?
If yes, we could provide the hall sensor (Honeywell) to sales.
You could ask sales of the QS motor for the hall sensors.

Hello Artur,

Thank you for your patience, I ask our Production Dept. to get them ready asap.
And for the test, I believe in our 3kW V3 type hub motor.
It's the best performance in the spoke hub motor market.
P.S.: One customer test it with Sabvoton Controller 72150(sine wave 150A battery current), and turns out very well.

It's better to purchase one sample for testing, and you will have a better undertanding.
And I could send some hall sensors with the sample.

thank you for the more detailed infos about winding options and kV of V3 type motors.

personally i'm also very interested in this type:

QS 2000W 205 (45H) E-bike Spoke Hub Motor Extra/V3 Type
PCD 6x44, 150mm droputs with 10mm flat, spoke flange

whats the weight of this motor (it's not stated in the data sheet)?
i believe winding options are same as 50H motor, but kV will be a bit higher because of smaller stator, right?

further: whats the difference between:

236,5$ QS 2000W 205 (50H) E-bike Spoke Hub Motor Export/V2 Type
and
258,2$ QS 3000W 205 (50H) E-bike Spoke Hub Motor Export/V2 Type

A few questions on this bad boy:
Image

Is it threaded for a free wheel and if not can it be?
Can it be made larger for 19 inch moto tires or is 17 the biggest you go right now?
What is the weight?
What is the price?

Is no one else thinking what I am about never having to mess with spokes and a heavy hub motor again?! haha

17 kw peak. You will fly with that thing.
I read 17 kilo for that motor.
This motor is wired like a dual 3 phase motor.
You could run 2 controllers for insane amount of power. Seems it is similar principal as those crazy powerful motors John in CR uses.

Copied from page one in this thread.:
Vito8828 wrote:Thank you for your questions, the weight of 17inc hub motor is about 17kg (G.W.)
For one stator, we could make the magnetic steel maximum 70mm, which is rated 12kW for e-car hub motor.

Please note: Consider the high current for 12kw motor, we make six phase lines, while you should connect the two same color phase lines with accordingly wire of controller.
i.e.: connect the yellow phase line of controller with two yellow phase line of motor.
connect the blue phase line of controller with two blue phase line of motor.
connect the green phase line of controller with two green phase line of motor.
P.S.: for one phase line, the cross section area is 12mm², so for two phase line, the cross section area is 24mm².

Ah, thanks. I somehow missed that detail in my first read. So this motor is also a dual stator setup? I have a KEB72601 and a 150mm swingarm that are just itching for the right motor right now! Wasn't expecting to find something outside ofJohn's monster where I might need two of them.

What you posted I think is not dual stator. As this is the dual stator motors.
Twice the width, and in fact two motors in one shell.

Image

But as the motor you posted is 6 phase it means you can use two controllers to get easier load on the controllers and I assume you could deliver even more current from 2 controllers then from just 1 controllers. So that should really give you more torque also.

Ah, right. This is all making sense now! So it does appear to be a great match for this 6kw controller.

Is it threaded for a free wheel and if not can it be?
Can it be made larger for 19 inch moto tires or is 17 the biggest you go right now?
What is the weight?
What is the price?

Is no one else thinking what I am about never having to mess with spokes and a heavy hub motor again?! haha
Vito: Thank you for your interest.
There is no thread for free wheel.
The net weight of 17inch 8kW is 26kg-26.5kg (Sorry for the mistake I write it 17kg by mistake).
For integrated wheel hub motor, It's the maximum size for the moment (no more than 17inch).
For the price, please refer to attachment"17inch 8kW QS Motor Quotation & SPEC.pdf".

Best Regards

Twice the width, and in fact two motors in one shell.

But as the motor you posted is 6 phase it means you can use two controllers to get easier load on the controllers and I assume you could deliver even more current from 2 controllers then from just 1 controllers. So that should really give you more torque also.
Vito: Thank you for your help.
For 12kW 70mm 273 hub motor, it's single stator, to match with one controller.
For 2*8kW 2*50mm 273 hub motor, it's dual stator, to mach with two controlelrs.

And sorry for mistake, the weight of 17inch 8kW motor would be 26-26.5kg.

Best Regards

Vito: I think it's better to match with 3kW 205 50mm hub motor (single stator).
