Yep, most motors are using either 10K NTC (best) or linear thermistor like KTY. The are super simple to connect - just need to run one wire to the dashboard while the other end is using the common ground. Clyte must have gone against the mainstream by using a sensor with dedicated power. It should still work if you just run the signal wire but you need to know the type of the thermistor and do some extra calibration. It can work, just more hassle to pair it with existing dashboards.

It's a crystalyte crown tc3080. Thanks for the link ordered and will be to me tomorrow. Seems like the easiest option even for the CA setup.

Hmm, MXUS must have switched to a three leg thermistor. The quickest thing to make it work is just swap it with a 10K NTC thermistor.
Wire one leg to the ground and the other one to the Bluetooth temp input. Done.

This type will provide the best precision:

Thanks for the great info. I'm def going with the 10k ntc. Seems most places advertise crown motors with 10k ntc. Not the case with my motor and now I can tell the difference. Will be nice having the power velocity controller displaying motor temp in Fahrenheit which I can relate to better than Celsius.

Celsius, Fahrenheit, miles, km - everything is supported and switchable in the app from day one.

More on the app, BT module, what it can do and how to use it is here:

Truly amazing controller. With all the info available from Powervelocity.com and this forum, setup and adjustment were a breeze. It's an amazing piece of tech. Way more user friendly and reliable than other expensive and over hyped controllers out there. Very powerful right out of the box.
