BYD Electric Cars

New electric vehicle company has 130,000 employees. Started a year before Google who now has 20,000 employees. Is a serious ground-up electric car company. Warren Buffet invested 250 million which is now worth 9 billion in this company (I heard this quoted but it seems a bit high). They also make cellphones and batteries. That would position them to have most of the technologies in an electric car.

BYD seem to be the "Elephant in the room" .. as far as EV's go.
They are a huge manufacturer and have been producing electric cars for several years in China ,.. mostly fairly un inspiring small runabouts, but that experience must be building up a lot of useful EV know how for them.
It would not surprise me if they suddenly hit the "Western" market with an affordable , practical, EV.

..and , yes, it is a nice looking car !
