VESC Doesn't respond when battery cells get to 3.9V

Hey guys,
I've been riding with the VESC quite a lot not but there is a problem i can't seem to solve.
Every time my battery reaches under 3.9V per cell the board stops working.
I'm running 6S setup so when the voltage gets to 23.4 it just stops running.
if i disconnect the power and re-connect i might be able to squeeze a couple more minutes of riding (probably from voltage fluctuations)
I have lowered the battery setting on the BLDC but it does not seem to help
What am i missing?
Has any1 else experienced this?
Thanks!

I have run my VESC on 12v for motor detection so it should definitely run at that voltage. How are you determining the 23.4V? I know those watt meters are not accurate, so make sure it's a reliable source.

What are your hard and soft cut-off voltages set to in the BLDC tool?
"I have lowered the battery setting on the BLDC but it does not seem to help"
State values.

Try to disable battery cut off and see if the problem goes away. You can get an external battery beeper for $5 if you are worried about low voltage.

It's a regular LiPo (2 zippy 3cell 5000mah in series)
how do i disable cutoff in BLDC? (didn't seem to find it. not worried about low voltage got a lot of sensors.)
