What happened to the thread about the guy making an electric outboard conversion using a 50 HP bldc? I think I had 3 or 4 posts there. And now no sign of it.

Thanks. User name was: smasterson2. Google that and you find a good looking Bayliner inboard conversion he did. There he used HPEVS induction drives. My guess is he decided to commercialize it and asked someone to remove his threads.
If this is the case, I don't think this should be allowed. Once you post an idea out there it's out there and should be kept intact--that's why we post here in the forum. You don't get to decide to unpost things completely--it's why we instituted "post history" so that when grumpy members wholesale delete their useful stuff you can still go back and find it in the history link, and restore it.

I agree. Also I feel it is unfair or at least rude for someone to delete posts or replies which I have done, unless those were offensive.
