Review.
This is a well-constructed ½ helmet all-around from shell to lining to riveted chin strap with double-D clasp. For those riders seeking maximum auditory and visibility – this is one of the best. The ear flaps can unzip for summer riding. Well-suited for goggles, though may also be fitted with an aftermarket 3-snap flip-shield easily found for about $20 USD. There was one handy right there in the store and it supported a button-through feature where I could retain the visor and the shield.
Pros: Fiberglass, well-constructed throughout, affordable, lightweight, good styling with lots of color choices. Widely available through many outlets. Pricing begins about $130 USD.
Cons: Shape of head may create a wobbly fit, least protection over other helmet classes, requires third-party shield. Interior padding is not removable.
Conclusion: A good ½ helmet, recommended for those willing to live with small compromises. Strongly recommend trying out fit before purchase.
