Adding Shoutbox to this website?

There is a shoutbox in another forum I use which I like very much. I find it so useful and for quick comments etc.
I think they should consider adding it to this website.

I am wondering if you guys want it, and if you would use it.

You can select two options, so please select Yes or No, and if you will use it or not.

What is a shout box, what does it do, and can you post a link to an example? ... I'm an ol guy, that still uses a flip phone...

i see no purpose for it on a site like es. it is essentially twitter in a sidebar.

thanks Even though I like the shoutbox feature I voted 'No'... To prevent
the system from overflowing messages would need to be deleted after a certain
amount of time. This then deletes info that other people not involved in the duscussion
could have used... Kind of in the spirit of Jeremy's signature, usefull info should be publically
accessible and not be deleted.
