Link for the review is here http://www.electricbike.com/stealth-fighter/

There is also good independent review on the Bomber well worth taking a look at http://www.electricbike.com/stealth-bomber-review/

Ah....what?
I'm halfway through writing a review on the Fighter for the same site myself. Will have to have a word with GreenMachine about that.

Not that I mind too much. I think you of all people Kepler are in a good position to write something like this. I just don't like being mislead into thinking I will get published. :x

CD, I think it would be good if you could add your write up to the article perhaps as second prospective. It must be a difficult task for Green Machine to keep the articles coming for his web site. I am sure lots of people commit to doing a write up then don't follow through. Perhaps he has underestimated just how passionate us Stealth riders are.

Yeah it's cool to see the history and appropriate that it should get a bump in this thread.
Interestingly that first bomber proto is very close to how I've set up my fighter many years later - right down to the rims, tyres forks and shock! I remember seeing that first frame down at the stealth factory but only really noticed the tubular frame and didn't pay too much attention to the rest. I wasn't totally aware of the time frame, I thought stealth had been around for longer but that was only just prior to me joining ES and still under the emtb banner. So when did stealth actually become stealth ?

Nice review too Kepler.

Heh, lipos were pretty sketchy in those days, no wonder John went with lifepo4!
I remember making a vented box for my first lipo pack, because it got so hot with a 5C discharge it needed the cooling

I love the way the fender is mounted close to the tire and I would like to see the front mounted the same under the fork brace some how.

How is the rear fender mounted? It looks to be bolted to the rear shock mount....if that's the case you will hurt the ride as the shock bolts would have to be tight. Loosen the bolts and spray lube the bushings and leave loose and the ride is far better

Cheers Paul here's a couple of close up pics of the bracket assembly and the front will be similar set up. btw the ride is fiiiiiine.ImageImageImageImage

QMS can you tell me where did get your fender?

A decent 25mph bike will cost around $1000.

Hi Gensem. The fender/mud guard is made from two types, sliced and diced a custom bracket then painted! I plan to sell them when i have the front one completed along with other Stealth accessories, billet kick stands custom lights ect

QMS, great video! Those were some tight switch backs. How steep was the climb before the turn around?

Yeah...nice stuff. Nut's to be doin that on Hookworms too. :P

You should totally put some Berm Masters on for that type of riding. Would suit it perfectly. :)

Yeah real nice vid and I like those mudguards.

I am amazed by the versatility and durability of hookworms especially on that terrain but definitely agree on the Berm Masters.

I did! :)
It wasn't even finished there, no grips etc. Actually it's still in pieces awaiting final touches, I really must get around to doing that and take some good pics.

Nice vid QMS, but yeah hookworms can be a bit sketchy off road. Even the crazy bobs are a bit better but I'd be a bit worried about giving people offroad test rides on fairly slick tyres. We don't want the next picture of your bomber to be one all grazed up!

The Stealth Bomber has been purchased by the Malaysian Olympic team to be used as a pace bike and train their riders. These guys are capable of reaching 80kph so they needed a pace bike with some serious speed. For indoor veladromes this has got to be perfect for them. No more sucking down exhaust fumes from the ICE pace bike anymore. I wonder if other teams will start to look at this too.

I saw this bike being preped at the Stealth Factory. It does have a few modifications. The front suspension has been lowered and it has low set handle bars for the rider to tuck down better. Rear shock has been remove and locked up using a spool piece. Bike looks as mean as hell

you mean the small bridge? the section up to that point isn't that steep... like 3% or something over ~150m.

nice to see the local trails! ha! mind you I usually come down that track, not up it!

Thanks C.D. I was doing a demo and it was the first time a client wanted a thrash off road!! As you know how much fun it is to change tyres he was happy to try it out on the H.W's. I will have to get another pair of rims eventually
