Video pretty much says it all, enjoy. Kids, don't do this at home if your parents are around.

Very impressive. Was the motor or controller warm after these runs?

yeah, motor got warm after sitting for 10 mins, I didn't bother measuring the temp, but it was about as warm as I can hold my hand on, but my hands are about as sensitive to temp as my tongue so not the greatest of gauges.

Temp probes in the controller showed a max FET temp of 61C and a max ambient temp of 62C in the case, looks like the case could do with some ventilation. FET temps drop fast, ambient internal temp drops a lot slower, some ventilation would probably be good. 85-100A sure is fun on 30S. Temp outside was about 72F/22C when I made the runs.

I touched 85A battery current a few times during the runs.

NIce!.. These cormotor seem to have great acceleration!

Now put a temp probe on the stator winding and set the max alarm temp to 160 celsius... and WOT any time until you reach that temp... That's the margin you have

Thanks for the video!

now i see you seem to have the same GPS as i have ( the garmin Etrex CX) so they can record as a datalogger so you can extract these data and open trhem in many specialized software availlabel on the web.. you will be able to get teh acceleration at any distance and collect many great acceleration data

Killer aceleration for the hubzilla!!! but you still should give it 200 phase amps.
A decent 25mph bike will cost around $1000.
A decent 35mph bike will cost around $2000.
A $1000 35mph bike will get you killed.

I'm buying one for my 29er.. I don't care if it's 35-40% less accel than a 21.5 inch wheel.. Probably twice as fast the 2807!!

Yeah Man! I love it. Does it weigh about the same as the 9x7?

No, my GPS is on my Nexus one using software. The yellow thing you see on top of the battery bag is my 4 channel thermocouple data logger. I need to get a thermocouple with a longer lead so I can install one in the motor, but realistically I'm probably just going to drill holes in the covers since it worked so good on my 9C. I can probably find some software that can measure the acceleration time if I look around. It's hard to leave hard from a dead stop and keep the front end on the ground.

Showing me running the cars down while I was at a dead stop or a very slow roll that were already going 35-45 was the best method I had to illustrate how quick it is for right now.

Congrats... nice and zippy. Aren't high power ebikes simply their own amusement park ride? Time to run those phase amps up high enough so you heat up the phase wires. That's when you know you're pushing some power through it. With you load, that wheelbase, and that CG, it will be sphincter puckering time for you my friend. 8)

Simply badass.. how was the motor heat after a ride like that?

That is the SHIT! Awesome. I'd love to do it and pedal slowly past cars at 60mph! That'd be so funny. I'd probably stack it from laughing too much!

Nice... so a Lyen 18 FET, some lipo's and a Cro, eh? Hmm.

Hard to say, didn't bother measuring the temp except by hand, but it was warm, but not as warm as my 9C motors got after riding with way less power and no drilled covers. Once I get some holes in the covers of this I can easily measure the temps... or just install a thermal probe. Need to find a k type with a long wire as I mentioned so I can install it in the windings to monitor it real time so I can report back the actual temps.

One of these in a Greyborg frame 17" moped wheels or 24" bicycle wheels would be a beast. My biggest problem is the torque the motor makes. Have to keep the phase amps low so it's not always wanting to wheelie. I'm also still trying to figure out why the EB3xx controllers act different when the shunt is modded. It's like the phase amps setting is completely independent of the battery amp setting, same with regen, either way, I'm quite happy.

I didn't notice any degradation in performance like I would on the 9C and I was flogging this much harder for about 10 mins. Must be pretty efficient because the battery voltage stayed higher than I thought it would after the ride, beside the typical sag of about 8V I see (now I want nano tech). I need to do some more testing and regular riding to gather stats. I'll keep everyone updated with info as I gather it, but I'm very impressed with this motor and my controller. How many people would think you can dump 12KW into a 18 FET IRFB4115 controller and have it take it just fine? It's pretty close speed wise to a 9C 2806 but with gobs of torque.

I'm going to dial this back to around 65A battery current and hopefully go for 10-15 mile normal speed ride after installing a chain (just in case) to see how it performs efficiency wise. I'm also going to fully charge the batteries and get a verified 60mph on GPS :)
