Thanks Guy's. Appreciate the kind words.

I love skiing through tree's...at little too much TBH. I've had large chunks and tares taken out of clothing in the past when I've gone a little too close to branches etc....and I'll never forget the time I got knocked out by a large leafy branch that had formed into a solid block of ice that hit me smack in the face.

It's been a while, but I got out for a nice little ride with 9Lives last weekend. He showed me around his area, and up a local mountain.
For the most part I was riding my Fighter and 9lives was on his Phasor, although we switched for a while which was fun as the Phasor has a lot more grunt than my Fighter.

I just threw the camera on at the last minute without much plans to make a video so hence the entire chest mount perspective.

I had a go at using some post processing stabilisation this time. Not the YouTube rubbish, but some proper software based processing. I think it turned out pretty good for the most part. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Rix. Yeah that was a close call....I lost rear traction on the sideways slope and nearly took out that tree.

Thanks for clarifying, I though that was the case, but wasn't certain. Its always nice to almost stack (Crash) and not stack.

Met up with 9lives again for another ride, this time around my area.

Those with a keen eye will probably recognise the areas from some of my other videos. We rode Pine Island North + South as well as trekking up Urambi Hill. It was a feat considering 9lives motor started having major issues under WOT and when it got hot and my cooling fans died about half way through the ride.

There's a few weird effects in the video where it inverts the colours. I discovered that if I mute a track in Video Pad it causes this...but only after I spent ages rendering and uploading the video so I'm not doing it again.

Hopefully I'll have another video out soonish as a bunch of us are meeting up for a ride this Friday. :)

I'm still working on a new video, waiting on footage to arrive from Hyena, but in the mean time here is an out-take from a recent ES gathering in Canberra.

We have to go back to that track as it was great. My legs were rubber by the end of it and I fear Jay may have some video of a couple of hairy bits when my ego wrote cheques I almost couldn't cash.
But anyway, in my mind the video title should read ...Cowardlyducks chasing hyena chasing 9 lives.

Yeah, I'm keen for that at some point. I might head back over there to explore and see what other tracks I can find in that area as well as I have a feeling there are a few more.

BTW, your right about the video...I just updated the title. :)

haha. When I went back through for a second run on Tuesday I was riding much harder and forearms and legs were similarly aching at the end. And that was without even turning the pedals. Riding at high speed in the tight stuff right on the limit really is a workout, using your legs to constantly shift your weight around and your arms to push back against the constant suspension movement. It's something lycras and mtb purists would scoff at but it really is true.
9lives wrote:the video title should read ...Cowardlyducks chasing hyena chasing 9 lives.
I was thinking it should read cowardlyduck chasing hyena being held up by 9 lives :P

I went for a decent ride last weekend up a local mountain called Mt Tennant. It's nearly 1400m high and the climb up is quite intense. Running my cooling fans the whole time, I was still hovering around 100C most of the way up. That was with significant power limiting and pedaling help. About 4-5 times I had to stop for 2-3min to let things cool off after temps approached 140C.
Coming back down I was pumping so much regen the motor hit 100C and I was having to run the fans again.

I used some of my own music in this video in case your wondering. :)

I made the music over 7 years ago, so to me it seems a little dated and low quality now, but I still enjoy it and haven't made anything since, so I like to throw those tracks on some of my more mundane videos. :)
