Hey all here is my latest build for my brother. I am very impressed by the GNGstyle kits power and with a little help from Lightning rods, its gonna make a hell of a cool build!

I spent the weekend on both my brothers bikes both with gang style kits but this one got the most attention and it now has a quickly remove able battery box that comes out with no tools and will soon have a one plug connection for balance/charging. I welded, fabbed and designed this to be as simple as possible while still having room for 16AH of 12s LiPo. It will be four 8AH packs of zippy's and should be very safe in the event of a fire since its totally encased in 1/8" aluminum plate with slight venting so the only thing you should get is smoke damage at the worst. Anyway the pics speak for themselves..

Gonna be a nice bike! Still under 50#!! At least until he adds the last two packs..

I can remove and replace the battery in u deer a minute literally..

SICK, would really like to see how that box holds up in a fire. Something like that could be the ultimate idea for us who keep lipo in garage.

29er? my eyes are terrible..

That actually was the idea. I am pretty confident it would only allow smoke out and nothing more. It is vemted slightly to keep it from becoming a bomb!

Sweet!

Very clean and safe battery box, going to do something very similar.

Gotta know, that seat shock setup, never seen it before, can you post a link for me? Thanks

Sure thing and thanks! I use a riv-nut tool that basically rivets a threaded piece into a hole drilled in the frame.
They work great!

Finally finished the #25 chain mod!

Love the hot swappable battery case mate.
I'm considering a GNG with the primary chain mod as per above. Do you find it noisy?
Did you buy the two cogs and chain all from tnc scooters?

Thanks on the battery box and yes its only slightly louder than stock if you don't tighten the chain too much. It needs to be just right..

I've been entertaining a 3d printed cover for the primary side if I buy one, or make an aluminium one and powdercoat.

Did TNC scooters supply both cogs and chain?

Oh yes sorry they did. I'm hoping the cheap chain lasts but if not I'll get some good stuff! Its not real roller chain so its "meh" quality but the whole conversion cost less than $30 lol!

That's awesome, I'd like to buy a LR fully built kit but cashflow best managed in stages. So I think maybe a bigblock and the TNC parts (I use them for brushed controllers so I can save on postage).

If you have the details handy would you mind confirming which parts are needed? I was going to look it all up on the two main threads ...

EDIT: Never mind - think I found it at last here:
