Wish the hills i had here were only that steep :: sigh :: nice video ;)

Nice

Really shows what a good hill climber the X5 can be if you feed it with enough volts!

Thanks for posting, we want more!!

The airport hill is more annoying then it looks in the video, it's about 10% over about 2kms.

Next I'd like to see Gilmore hill.

When you hit that pot hole at the 51 second mark, I thought you were a goner.

It looked really scary from the camera view. :D I thought that maybe it was a pothole but I couldnt really tell.

Looks like a pretty strong setup. I noticed your posting name and thought you may be a fellow bass head. I was myself a car audio guy for 8 yrs. Are you still involved in the industry or has your passion/hobby turned like mine into new efforts such as building electric bikes?

Hi Jason,

My passion also turned into EV like you. I competed in dBdragracing association on most non official competitions and some IASCA too. Like for the battery i supply here, i also supplied one great key part of a good street A setup that are the home made flared aeroport. I reached 157.2dB audiocontrol certified and 152.7 termlab certified with two 10" and one XXX6500D from soundstream.. but what i'm proud is that i also got a nice score with only using aJBL BP1200.1 that o BOOSTED like no one ever did.. it was originally a 600/1200W and i've drived it to 1880Wrms with by mooding the internal power supply

Now instead of working with 12V and 900A I use 100V 100A

Lol, I'm familiar with all you're saying, I actually had a bp1200 running 4 10in mtx bluethunder extremes behind the rear seat of a tracker. I actually remember when aeroports went big, along with everyone buying a honda CRX's with either dual kickers or DD's. I was pretty poor at that time in my life but managed to get a 150.5 with 2 Alpine Typer r's in a 9ft3 with 80 in2 of port area that I managed to fit into my focus along with an earthquake D2 shredder. That was on a termpro before they made them a little tougher like 4-5 yrs ago.

It's been unfortunate to see the demand decline over the years. I actually lost my job as a sales and installation manager at Circuit City 2yrs ago after they decided that they didn't need a salaried manager and replaced me with a lower paid supervisor (atleast I got out with some severance pay considering they are now going bankrupt). Since then I've gone to school to get my electronics degree while working at Frasca building Flight simulators. Electric bikes has certainly been a new vent for my electrical curiosity and I hope the field continues to grow.

Oh though I was into street 1-2, which was what the class was called when I competed. I had a friend that was very big into it named Dave Jennings, he was in the extreme 5-8 class and had a van full of crown amps. ( Was wondering if you had seen him before). I also got the privelage of talking to Chris Norris a couple of times and he even hooked me up with a Solo X that I needed to build a car for the Make a Wish Foundation. Anyhow, it's nice to see another car audio guy on board hopefully we'll get to exchange some ideas in the future!

Wow! That's absolutely hillarious. I do plan on adding a small audio set up once I get my bike completed. Something like two small 1.5 inch neodymium high efficiency drivers with a digital amp connected to an sd card reader just in case I gotta jam out, yet small enough to not get in the way.
