WTB : 36v 20a BLDC controller. New or used

Postby goinmobile » Thu May 10, 2012 9:37 am

Read my motor wanted ad below for my application details & sale terms. I prefer a basic model without regen, programming or LV cutout. For hall type throttle, 4-5v.

This is my last build & first for brushless. I don't want time worn, over-volt modified or fix its.

Located in S. Ontario.

Got exactly what you're looking for. PM me with an offer, shipping to Canada in a small flat rate box is ~$13, and I've got a controller I don't have use for that fits exactly what you want.

It came off a yescomusa kit, not sure of brand. Its rated at 20a like you want and I used it on my old build, but its 100% functional and never even got above ambient when I used it. Its either a 9 or 12 fet based on the size, and id like $20 for it, so $33 shipped.

A very good price. However I still do not know its voltage range or the watts. You state 20A, but at what voltage? Most cases I.ve seen list range if if so equiped. Thanks.

The caps are rated up to 63v so the range would be the LVC for 36v or up to 63v. Its a 500w controller and the 20a rating is the highest current it will pull

Hard to get a straight answer here. Its 20 amp at 63V?

That's about 10amp with 36v.

dnmun : Thanks for for input, I trust your knowledge. Do you know this fellows controller, as I cannot get the intended voltage or its output wattage,

I'm also concerned that the number of fets are not known earlier in the thread, "either 9 or 12 based on its size", but the cap voltage is known.

he said 20A so it is 20A. no matter what voltage. it will work on 48V too since it has the 63V caps which is what he explained to you.

OK. I have not seen a controller vendor sell by them ratings. Everyone I've looked at sells by a voltage input & a wattage output, amps may or may not be listed, never the cap voltage.

A yescomusa search doesn't find the specs, its why I asked, and more than once.

I'm still looking for a BLDC 36V 20A controller, new or used. It needs an original label stating its rating.

There is an international border, a missing label will be a problem should a secondary inspection happen, common for exports from non-business.

I have a 36V BLDC controller from a Giant eSuede. I'll sell it for $20 + shipping.

I guess the current rating is around 12A.
