Anyone with fiberglass or carbon fiber layup skills and looking for a little work-
I need to fabricate a custom part. I want to make a cover for the belt drive of a Recumpense V4 drive. The cover is for 3 reasons, in order of importance:
1) Keep my pants and shoelaces out of the running gear
2) Make the electric drive parts just a little bit more stealthy
3) Noise abatement
Here's a pic of the part I want to cover:
I'm sure custom anything is pricey. I would do some of the grunt work by building the mold, if that makes this a better deal for you. I'm not cheap and willing to pay a fair wage for the work - but honestly I don't have any idea what a job like this would cost.
I'm sure I can find a composites guy within driving distance through Craigs List or whatever - but I figured I'd try here first and keep my money within the ES community.
Any thoughts/takers?
