SOLD: Stealth Bomber B-52 almost new

Post by MX Engineer » Sep 02, 2017 9:59 am

I am selling my Stealth Bomber B-52. Bought it in January 2017. The bike has only 95 miles. The battery was charged/topped off 10 times. The color is stealthy black.

It has an factory optional MRP Grove fork, which works much better than the base fork. It is a $1,300 factory option.

Selling because I have some health issues, which prevent me from biking as often as I really want.

I upgraded the tubes to heavy duty MX tubes. Also added a read Tube Saddle insert to protect the rim and prevent pinch flats. It works very well. It is rocky in Arizona, and unfortunately, before I installed the Tube Saddle I dented the rear rim a little. I still ride the bike, but I bought a stronger Robsson.de 24" x 65mm double wall rim to replace it. I can include it, or install it, or buy a stock rim instead, let me know.

Other than that, the bike is nearly new. No scratches. Never crashed.

I paid $12,100 for it shipped to my door. Asking $7,900 plus shipping. The bike is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Come pick it up, or I can deliver in AZ or to SoCal. Or I can ship to the lower US states for $500.

Please PM or reply here. Thank you.

What price did you end up selling it for? Just curious what the used market would actually pay for this nice build.

$6,700. Lost my shirt on it. I could have been more patient, waited til summer, but I wasn't sure it would have been worth the wait.

That’s not too terrible. You paid a few grand to ride a high powered, sexy ebike for awhile. I’ve had someone I know (wink wink) make far worse investments.

That's exactly what I am telling myself. It is just $58/mile, only ~10x more expensive than a Ferrari lease. A killer deal. Chicks dig e-bikes. I got laid way more times than I would have in a Ferrari.

I bought an Alta Redshift MX instead, BTW. The Alta is a motorcycle and it works better for me. I can ride for 2 hours throwing roost, popping wheelies, and climbing any uphills. And then quietly ride home without neighbors throwing shoes at me.

Just today saw an almost new Alta Redshift MX on CycleTrader for $9,999. Grab it while it is there.

Hah. Realistically, the lay factor of an ebike versus a Ferrari is probably near indentical. Many women scoff at sports car drivers, in my opinion. Unless they’re attracted to the individual driving it!

And that sounds amazing, I’m looking to buy an electric sports bike soon. I’ll check them out!
