It looks like you could also use that with a dumb AC switching power supply to make a line powered adjustable charger. No need to modify power supply.

You know it , then it can provide 5 amps (up to 10) for quick charging on the road via a power supply and plug in or work at home for a multi voltage charger slow or fast your choice.
