Good job for now...downhill frame is always problem for fitting good lockig and big capacity battery box.And if you want the battery to be removable for charging outside the bike ( my e-bike project ) ... that's a big big problem :)

Hello ev fans,

nmilanche, welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the tip.
My battery, will be removable. I want to charge, and store, in a safe place.
Just take some pictures, and show your build.
In the meanwhile, I start to install the pre-charge resistor...no sparks.

Luís.

Thanks for welcome! ;)
I will put some pictures soon...I am bulding 2WD e-bike, but for the start it will be rear hub 1500W...downhill frame...removeble batt pack 48v/cca 26Ah...

I am palning to use XT90-S (anti-spark) connector. It has built in resistor...
How do you connect that resistor? You only need him in a little part of a second...then you must disconect resistor...

Regards!

Hello guys,

Kachou, thanks. Glad you fell inspirarion. Just start. Do you have a frame ?

Hi Soares,

Just got my frame... you cannot imagine what I did to get the same frame as you... I bought a berg viper on a second hand website in Portugal (OLX.PT) and had a friend bring it to me in Paris when he travelled to Porto by car...
I will start my own topic and hopefully can get your feedback

Thanks and Keep up the good work!

Hello crew,

nmilanche, the pre-charge is a replica from my first bike. Work very well. I have a switch, turn on momentary, and then I can connect the positive wire. I do not have much luck, with the anti-spark connectors on the market .
More work on the next 2 days.

Luís.

Hi guys,

Today, I was working on my key switch and by accident I damage my carbon cover.... :x :x Almost cry :x  I stop everything, go for a walk and wen I return, I don't now how, but i manage to fix it. You just see a junction line, but even that, its gone be cover by the top-tube. What a relieve.
And my 30amps, various colors, anderssen connectors, arrive today. Its for the halls sensors connections and others small amperage connections.

Hello,

kachou, really ? Im from Porto City. If I now, I should help.
Well done men. Its a nice frame. A bit small for the batteries...but...
Your first major transformation...torque plates. I have the drawings, if you need.
Just start a build page.

Luís.
Hello Luís

I just started my build page:
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=93615
- it's an exciting project.

I will have a lot of questions for you!

I am thinking of starting with a mid-drive (if the bottom bracket allows), so no Torque plates for me right now.

Talk soon!

Hello crew,

kachou, really glad for you. Enjoy the journey... 8)

In the meantime, Im really happy with the anderson connectors. They give a fast, reliable, no mess around, and beautiful connection..

Luís.

Thanks Soaresdacosta

I have just ordered all parts, have my Hub on way and controller, Sticking with Lyen for now and probably run 24s Lipo's But i think ill go the fancy batteries in the bag thing, Legal limit in Australia is only 250w so dont want to much attention with be box.

How do you find it to pedal without any power, as i couldn't fit cassette i need to do same option.

Can i ask about chain used etc.

Thanks again for pics.

Peter

The legal limit in the UK is also 250w. I have a sticker on my motor that says "Bosch 250w 24v". In reality, I'm pulling 15kw :D

Yeah, ill have to do that are you pulling 15KW out of the Mxus 3K and you have the Sabvoton controller?
What amps is she pulling @ 24S

I have watched your videos on Youtube, gets cold over there hey :)

And hows the thumb :(

Cheers
Peter

I don't want to hijack this thread but.....
Cold? It's a balmy 24c today. Probably gonna snow now I've said that.
I'm now running between 12s and 20s (via removable bus bars). According to the CA shunt, it pulls 170a before the breaker trips (it's actually a 125a breaker). The Sabvoton will give out a lot more than it states and the MXUS will handle the power but only for very short (5 second) bursts before it overheats. I'm not fitting any extra cooling because it'd make me leave my brain at home all the time :D
This thing is now at the absolute maximum of ability - the acceleration is so brutal, I can't get my head over the handlebars enough to keep the front wheel down. If I go any further forward, I leave tyre marks down the road.

Hello crew,

cheeko, in here (Portugal) its the same 250watts. I will use (not install yet) a chain, normally use in BMX bikes. In the rear I use one speed free-wheel, and one speed in the front. No gears change...no need to that. Pedal this bike...forget about that. The pedals is just for legal purposes.

Luís.

You attention to detail is faultless, Luis.
I'd love to own a bike that you've built but I certainly wouldn't want to pay you to build one. The cost would be massive! (there is a compliment in there somewhere) :D

Hello crew,

Working on small stuff...this time, is extending the wire from the Magicshine back light...
