Abandoned buildings and closed business make me sad.

After USSR falling incredible amount of industry turned to ruins. That became a part of childhood for many 70-s - 90-s born ex-USSR children. Impression was strong - now we got all forms of urban exploring hobbies for thousands and thousands of people. They visit abandoned places in subconscious attempt to relive childhood emotions.

ЭМОЗ was very small plant. It's undoing makes one sad, but that's not a tragedy. Most of my life i lived literally across a river from ZIL. Well, death of that magnificent beast was a tragedy indeed. Back in a days i rented a workshop in one of small buildings of that plant. Some dark winter nights i saw how lasts of vehicles produced there was towed away. Every working day i walked through plant and saw another building to be demolished. There was a lot of buildings, demolishing process lasted for years. It's like to witness an agony inside a living thing.

Saddest part is - you can't just place a blame to a person or a regime, release your anger and relieve yourself from sad feelings. It's not that simple. It just how time works - it devours everything with no exceptions. And you can't do anything against time, so you just must live with it.

Murray Gold was able to put that feelings in form of a music:
