I must say a good mirror. My other recumbent has a mirror that mounts in the end of the handlebar. Maybe I should borrow that since the unpowered bike isn't seeing much use anyway. Next I want a cycle analyst and better batteries..

The accessory that I've used more than I imagined I ever would is the Xtracycle bought half price on craigslist in Aug. 2006.
Married to a sweet mixte frame it became my favourite bike.
Before that the Arkel LadyBug pannier/back-pack was the most frequently used accessory. . .
not counting racks, fenders and lights.
If locks and helmets count as accessories, the lock has been more useful.
le Béte runs a CA and PowerGrips, both of which have proven worthwhile.

I, personally, do not need the regen calculator function. Others will make use of it, sure. But for me:

from all reports so far, the Hanks are the best slick tire out there.
Read Sheldon Brown on the topic of bike tire tread vs. bald BIKE tires?

Anyway: such thin tires as the supple Hanks are, even though oversized and run at low pressure,
ARE SUBJECT to thorn puncts. and glass bottle slices.

I have no thorns or nails here on Miami streets.
The bottles are all thrown, hidden in the bushes or in the rare and bumpy-lumpy bike paths here,
or on the Causeway bridge bike path.

I LIKE SLICKS for a number of very honest reasons, BUT, they may not be good for YOU, if you suffer thorns or slush/snow/mud.
I have never had a flat, but our roads here are clean, clean, clean.

You are correct, the CA is exactly the 'Remote Display ngocthach1130 is wishing for.

CA should be larger display for low-vision (old eyes) riders. Would be a nice touch

The "Large Screen High Current Model (CA-HC-LS) " should meet your needs. It works fine with low current fine, but it is designed to handles up to 200v for EVs instead of the 100v of the regular CA. I have one of the original large-screen prototypes for ebikes, and use a production CA-HC-LS in my VW Bus EV Conversion:

You just did win the "lottery jackpot": This thread is now raised to honour you and to say "thanks" for all the work
you gave in making a case for those of us who don't see so well anymore. Thank you for that posting.

Ha hey Reid, no the busy-ness going on on many fronts these days means I rarely get a chance to peruse over on the forums or see what's up, so I now need to count on good folks like you for keeping me in the loop!! Anyways, thanks a lot for sharing the odd thread or story of interest and for putting in the good words. Your posts are usually pretty entertaining too,

Hope your summer is pretty swell. -Justin

NO REPLY NEEDED, save your time, guys!

Point: the CA comes up time and time again.
I presume you get automatic alerts whenever "CA" appears in print, anywhere?

But just to be sure you know of that current thread.
Of course, the hyperlink is DOA because I use an ancient webmailer,
and netscrape will never upgrade their software.

No reply Reid

rear cycle trunk
rear panniers
car horn
mr16 lights
cycle bell
speedo
front wire basket
rear view mirror (helmet mounted)
battery temperature display

my favourite is probably the rear trunk because it can carry shit loads of stuff almost like being a trike. i'm not convinced about the helmet mounted rear view mirror, it vibrates a lot and takes too long to focus on. handlebar mount might be better.

Rear view mirror (helmet mounted)

If you find the image is vibrating too much, try adding more mass the mirror end (to reduce the amplitude of the vibration) and mount on something compliant to dampen the resonance effect.

This frame bag is perfect size for the 48v lithium iron phosphate battery. It centers the weight and just looks good. Plus its waterproofed

Accessories… hmmm
My favorite would be 2WD. Does that count? :D

If not, then it’s the Throttle. But then – that’s kind of a necessity and not an accessory. :|

Oh gosh, Cruise Control is pretty cool and very functional. :)

Listing of Accessories (though I am unsure of the criteria that defines one):
Throttle
Ebrake & Brake-light Microswitches
High-powered LED flashlights QTY-2
Motorcycle Signal indicator switch cluster: Headlights, L/R, Horn
Motorcycle 3-Way + horn switch cluster: 3-Way Speed (Current) Control & Cruise Control
People Bell <ding ding>
Aero Bars
CAs QTY-2
Da Black Box: Keyswitch & LED-Flasher Relay
L/R LED Turn Signal Indicators Front & Rear
Integrated LED Tail- and Brake Light
Blinkies
2 Controllers for two hubs
Rear Rack
Trailer Hitch with harness connectors for lights and batteries (presuming the Trailer is an accessory)
Front Saddle Bag Battery connector
Rear Pannier Battery connector
Front Faring
Triangle Battery Assembly and faring
Hot Wheels Nerf Bumper
Lastly, though most importantly – my
Diametric Coriolis Inductive Regenerator!
